예멘에서 온 친구와 우정을 담은 영화를 만들던 겨울, 제주의 빈 곳들을 찾다 우연히 지의류와 마주하게 된 여정을 담았다. 영화를 만드는 과정에서 우연성을 마주하는 방식 – 계획과 다르게 촬영된 영상들, 확장된 기록들, 우연히 포착된 시공간들 – 과 스크린 앞의 존재들이 마주할 수 있는 시청각적 접근성에 대한 한계를 인식하며 영상과 나 자신, 영상과 관객들이 어떻게 다시 관계 맺을 수 있을지 질문한다.

I recorded my journey of encountering a lichen habitat by chance, while I was making a film about friendship with a Yemeni friend. This video questions the possibility of how author and audience could re-build a relationship through the work embracing the limits of visual and audio accessibility as well as the serendipitous process of making film — unplanned and unexpected images, expanded archive, and coincidental time and space.
